People who share height and weight information make it easier to choose the right size. Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers. I like when a shop clearly shows PD, lens height and bridge width in millimeters. Loose hinges make the glasses slide down the nose again and again. The main things I look at for glasses are frame weight, hinge quality and lens coating. They are simply the ones that fit well and survive many rounds of washing or daily use.

Over the last months I noticed that some of my favorite items are not the most expensive ones. Price is important to me, but quality and comfort are even more important in the long run. Having a tracking number that works on common sites is very convenient. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. Many people do not mind waiting if they understand what is going on. Clear product descriptions save time and reduce the chance of disappointment.
