I also check if the store explains how to measure PD and frame size clearly. The same is true for metal versus acetate frames for glasses. Now I try to read as many real user reviews as possible before I buy anything. Good stitching usually means the item will not fall apart after one or two washes. Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers.

A product that still looks good after a few months is more impressive than something only good on arrival. Online shopping will always have a bit of risk, but experience makes it easier. Trendy pieces are fun, but I only buy them when the price is reasonable. Footwear is even harder because different brands cut shoes very differently. For light summer tops I keep to my normal size to avoid a baggy look.

The main things I look at for glasses are frame weight, hinge quality and lens coating. Sometimes a store looks great in ads but the real product is completely different. Some care only about style, others focus on comfort and durability.

Metal can feel more premium, but acetate can be more comfortable for long wear. If tracking never updates for weeks, I start to worry about the order. I also like when stores show real photos without heavy editing or strange angles. Personally I like a mix of design, comfort and realistic pricing. Over the last months I noticed that some of my favorite items are not the most expensive ones. Jewelry is another category where quality can be very different from photos. I try to balance my budget between basic everyday items and a few special pieces.
